Since 2010, you have been more than just a friend—you were a dear sister in faith and a beautiful part of my life. We shared so many memories as churchmates, spending weekends together with our other dear friends, laughing, talking, and simply enjoying each other’s company. I even remember those days when I would sleep at your host family’s house. Those moments will always have a special place in my heart.

I was deeply shocked and saddened by the news that you were gone so suddenly. It still feels unreal. But I find comfort knowing that you are now safe and resting in the presence of our Lord.

I still have the bread toaster you gave me for Christmas in 2011. It may just be a simple gift, but to me, it will always be a precious reminder of you and the friendship we shared.

Thank you for the years of friendship, the memories, the laughter, and the kindness you gave so freely. I will miss you more than words can say.

Until we meet again, my dear friend. Rest peacefully in God’s presence. 🤍🕊️

    Dear Evelyn
When I read the information from Facebook, I didn't believe it, my eyes were full of tears. The scene that I first met you at Danish language school in my mind. From the very first moment, I was struck by your endearing nature. You looked so cute—look like a young Chinese girl—and that gentle, lovely impression stayed with me. Little did I know then that this chance meeting would grow into such a precious friendship.

As it happened, your workplace was close to my home. So we began to meet often. Those visits became some of the happiest times of my life. We shared laughter, stories, and simple everyday moments that I will always treasure. You had a way of making ordinary days feel warm and special.

Later, you went to training school, and I moved. Life pulled us in different directions, but our bond remained. The last time I saw you was at your new home. I was so happy to celebrate your housewarming , to see you settled and smiling. Now, I have to say goodbye. It breaks my heart to let him go.

I will miss your smile, your warmth, and your friendship. You will always hold a special place in my heart. I am so grateful for the time we had together.

Rest in peace, my dear friend. May you find eternal peace in heaven.

    Your close Chinese friend

    Dear Evelyn ❤️

A final goodbye to you, even though it feels so unreal and far too soon that we have to say farewell.

I hope you have found peace wherever you are now. And when the day eventually comes for Ole to leave this world, I hope with all my heart that the two of you will find each other again on the other side. Because you should have had so many more years together, so many more moments, laughs, adventures and memories. It feels so unfair that your time together was taken from you far too soon.

You were someone who always thought of others before yourself. You had such a special way of giving love, care and happiness to the people around you, and you taught us what it truly means to be there for one another.

You were also the one who brought Patrik and Ole closer together. That is a gift that means more than words can ever express. You helped show us what love, care and joy truly look like, and you left a mark on all of us that will never disappear.

You were everything to Ole. His love, his safe place, and his person. And although you can no longer be by his side, I hope your love will continue to be with him. I hope that, in some way, you will watch over him and give him the strength to get through the greatest loss he has ever had to face.

I also hope that your love, and the person you were, will give strength to the rest of your family, so that together they can find their way through this overwhelming grief and loss.

Thank you for being you, Evelyn. Thank you for your love, your kindness, your warmth, and for all the people whose lives you made a little brighter.

You should have had so much more time. You and Ole should have had so much more time together.

But you will never be forgotten. You will live on in the people you loved, in the memories you created, and in the love you gave so freely.

    Rest peacefully, dear Evelyn. ❤️

    Until you meet again. ❤️

Mindeord

Evelyn was a person who always spread joy around her, and her mission was always to help others without expecting anything in return. She was our guiding star and guardian angel through thick and thin for 7 years. We first met in Rome and fell in love - a meeting with an open mind, which was exactly how she met the world every single day. Evelyn´s life on earth was far too short, but her passion for new places and people took her far and wide, bringing overwhelming experiences. As one of her friends beautifully put it: "Too short but well lived." She leaves behind her family in the Philippines, as well as friends and acquaintances from her time living in Horsens, Rome, Bergen, Copenhagen, and Singapore. Evelyn had a unique ability to see the beauty in even the smallest things. She loved spending her time tending to the flowers in the garden and creating the most fantastic culinary experiences with what we grew. No one could bake a cake quite like her. She fought a brave battle to master the Danish language and integrate into our society, and she did an amazing job. Although she graduated as an educator from a university in the Philippines, she dedicated her life to helping others. In her positions around the world, she cared for both the young and the elderly. Her final job was therefore also at the Skovly Centre in Hovedgård. Most of all, however, she cherished her time with family and friends here in Denmark, and especially the long online conversations with her mother, brother/sister-in-law, niece, and sister. Once those conversations started, you knew you had to find something else to occupy yourself with :-) Evelyn (Love) leaves behind a void that can never be filled, but also countless wonderful memories that we will carry in our hearts forever. We hope that you will all help carry on Evelyn's mission here on earth, and we would therefore like to conclude by quoting her wise words: Be someone´s strength Be someone´s inspiration Be someone´s reason to never give up Pictures from her well lived life: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_3zV68p-v4 Honored be her memory and love.
